Getting better answers

  • Link the lesson. "/lesson/lesson-66 — list comprehension" saves the helper 30 seconds of context-loading.
  • Show what you tried. Code that doesn't work + the exact error gets a real answer in minutes. "It doesn't work" gets nothing.
  • Show what you expected. Helps the answerer see your mental model — often that's where the bug is.
  • Mark accepted answers. Closes the loop and helps the next person searching the same question.
  • Pay it forward. If you've been here a month, you know enough to answer last week's beginners. Do it.
