Питання
Which workload sees the LARGEST speedup from Python 3.13's no-GIL build?
A
A single-threaded FastAPI worker handling one request at a time: the freed lock means the interpreter can inline more optimisations without concurrency overhead in the hot path
B
A batch of 8 threads each running a pure-Python numeric simulation (Monte Carlo, prime sieve, PBKDF2-style hash) on 8 CPU cores: each thread runs Python bytecode arithmetic in parallel now that the interpreter lock is gone
C
A script that shells out to ffmpeg via subprocess.run: the subprocess already runs on its own OS process so removing the GIL shortens the parent-side wait loop considerably
D
A web scraper making 500 concurrent HTTPS requests: network I/O dominates, so threading finally becomes the right tool for concurrent I/O without the GIL contention that used to force asyncio
